9º ano – Let PEACE be with us
Living happily together without disagreement is what we have been trying to do for ages.
Symbols of peace have emerged to express such a state of tranquility, harmony, respect, serenity, cordiality, and mutual understanding.
Reflecting on the importance of PEACE as a feeling of safety and stability, the students had the chance to talk about how their voices matter to have their rights respected.

Vivermos felizes e sem desentendimentos é o que tentamos fazer há tempos.
Símbolos de paz surgem para expressar tal estado de tranquilidade, harmonia, respeito, serenidade, cordialidade e compreensão mútua.
Refletindo sobre a importância da PAZ como sentimento de segurança e estabilidade, os alunos discutiram como suas vozes importam para terem seus direitos respeitados.

1ª série – About MYSELF
Having identity – the personality of an individual – can give you a sense of belonging, which is important to your confidence and wellbeing. This way, you might make friends with others who have similar interests to you.
Based on this feeling of wanting to give your attention to something, the students were asked to record a video on which they talk a little bit about themselves. Have a look at what they have produced.

Ter identidade – a personalidade de um indivíduo – pode lhe dar uma sensação de pertencimento, o que é importante para sua confiança e bem-estar. Dessa forma, você pode fazer amigos cujos interesses são semelhantes aos seus.
Com base nesse sentimento de querer dar atenção a algo, os alunos foram convidados a gravar um vídeo, no qual falam um pouco sobre si mesmos. Dê uma olhada no que eles produziram.

2ª série – What a strange FEELING!
A wish that something could have been different and better is a feeling you believe we cannot leave behind. This emotion can be all-consuming and destructive. However, it is worth bearing in mind that learning from mistakes has the power to improve our future.
Reflecting on the consequences of regret (how we behave and want to do something differently), the students wrote texts which tend to make the target reader think carefully about such a feeling that sucks all and fulfilment from our days. Give their texts a try!
2ª série – Que SENSAÇÃO estranha!
O desejo de que algo pudesse ter sido diferente e melhor é um sentimento que não se pode deixar de lado; essa sensação tende a ser desgastante e destrutiva. No entanto, vale salientar que aprender com os erros pode trazer benefícios futuros.
Pensando nas consequências do arrependimento (como nos comportamos e queremos fazer algo diferente), os alunos escreveram textos, os quais fazem o leitor refletir sobre esse sentimento que esgota o nosso cotidiano. Veja suas produções!

3ª série – READING is having FUN!
“ESP (English for Specific Purposes) is an approach to language teaching in which all decisions regarding content and method are based on why the student wants to learn.”
In Brazil, this approach is called Inglês Instrumental and its main objective is to enable the students to read and understand different texts in English, using specific reading strategies and techniques within a scheme of autonomous activities.
Once the students are getting ready for VESTIBULAR (high-stakes tests: college entrance examinations), the aim of our classes is to enable them to analyze and understand the most diverse text genres. Deepening their reading practice, the students were asked to create cartoons or comic strips on different issues. Check their creativity out!
3ª série – LER é se DIVERTIR!
ESP (English for Specific Purposes) é uma abordagem, adotada no ensino de idiomas, em que o conteúdo a ser aprendido e o método utilizado são baseados na razão pela qual o aluno quer aprender o idioma.
No Brasil, essa abordagem é chamada de Inglês Instrumental e tem como principal objetivo capacitar os alunos à leitura e compreensão de diferentes textos em inglês, utilizando estratégias e técnicas específicas em um esquema de atividades autônomas.
Diante do preparo dos alunos para o VESTIBULAR, o objetivo de nossas aulas é capacitá-los a analisar e entender os mais diversos gêneros textuais. Aprofundando a prática de leitura, os discentes foram convidados a criar charges ou histórias em quadrinhos sobre distintos assuntos. Confira em que resultou a criatividade desses pupilos!
